Emily has over 20 years experience working in the NHS and is a Chartered Physiotherapist BSc(Hons); MHCPC; Sports Therapy BSc(Hons). She is also a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and is HCPC registered.
In 2001 she completed a degree in Sports Therapy at the University of North London. This gave her an extensive knowledge of muscular skeletal disorders and skills in soft tissue massage and mobilisations. In 2007 Emily qualified as a a physiotherapist from St George’s University of London. Since qualifying she has worked in the NHS as well as private practice in Harley Street. She is experienced in a range of fields including older people’s rehabilitation, respiratory care, neurology, orthopaedics, oncology and palliative care and rehabilitation.
Emily headed the physio team on the Oncology Ward at the Royal Surrey has a specialist interest in palliative care in the community and has links with the local Macmillan team in her NHS role. Emily enjoys working with people to improve their quality of life, increase their confidence in day to day tasks and their abilities. She believes in the need for a holistic assessment and uses a range of treatments to help achieve a person’s goals.
We strongly believe that community care can be difficult to access and be limited by demands on local services and believe in providing a high level of appropriate care when and how it is needed by local people.
